Breakfast with my great nephew Neil, wife Megan, and Lucas |
Breakfast Time with Family and Visit to Seattle Center
Enjoyed a very special breakfast time with my great nephew Neil and his wife Megan and one year old Lucas. Since Neil grew up in Michigan where my nephew Charles is a professor at Michigan State University, this was my first opportunity to meet Megan and, of course, Lucas. I am so thankful we could get together this morning as they a flying tonight as I type this to a work assignment for Neil in Ireland. Hopefully, we can get together again before "years" pass.
I've semi-mastered the Seattle Rapid Transit so after returning to the hotel and checking out the activities at Seattle Center and specifically the Pacific Science Center, I took off on my adventure to Seattle Center. Main focus today was the Pacific Science Center and the IMAX 3D theater. I saw Zootopia this afternoon. I enjoyed it. Also walked around on the Seattle Center grounds and enjoyed a special treat - roasted corn on the cob. Took photos of the Space Needle but saved visiting the observation deck for another day.
Now I am in my room at the Doubletree The Artic Club trying to get this blog updated before 10 PM PDT since that is when Feedblitz sends out the email blogs updates. Those of you observant readers might notice that my blog email did not distribute until later this morning. Why? Because I was one minute past the deadline to distributed at the usual time of midnight in the Central Time Zone.
Here are today's photos. The first photo here is of the "polar bear" in my hotel lobby. After all this is the Artic Club Hotel.
Not sure what tomorrow with bring but will definitely "Pause and Know the It is My Lord's Day". Will probably participate via the Internet in worship services from Nashville.
