Forest Hills Baptist Senior Adults Visit Readyville Mill Restaurant

Readyville Mill - Established 1812

Forest Hills Baptist Church Senior Adults Visit Readyville Mill Restaurant - Today my senior adult group the Climbers from Forest Hills Baptist Church, Nashville, TN, took a short day trip to Readyville, TN, to eat at the Readyville Mill Restaurant and then visited in the mill which is still operating today.  I thought you who follow my travels would enjoy seeing some of the photos I took. Readyville Mill is about 50 miles southeast of Nashville so we departed from the church at 10:30 AM on an Anchor Transportation Shuttle Bus to eat lunch and check out the still operating mill.  We were back at the church about 2:40 PM - a nice quick outing with friends.

You can check out all 42 photos in my photo gallery READYVILLE MILL RESTAURANT.  Here are just a few of those photos:

Prayer Requests - My sister Pat Betts is scheduled to have shoulder surgery August 26 in Shreveport/Bossier City, LA.  My family and I would appreciate your prayers for Pat and the doctors.

My long time friend(from the 1970's) Mack Hannah died tonight(Thursday Aug 20) at his home in Atlanta, GA, after a long battle with cancer.  I know that Mack's wife Pattie and his family would covet your prayers for them.  Mack was my minister of youth in the 1970's at First Baptist Church, Nashville, and more recently pastor of Harpeth Heights Baptist Church, Nashville, and then pastor of Dunwoody Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.

Next Travel Plans for Me - Starkville, MS, September 10-13, 2015 -  I will be driving to Starkville, MS, to visit with my great niece Kellie Abbott and her parents my niece Sandra and Wayne for a college football weekend.  Kellie will be showing me around her school - Mississippi State University - and I will be attending the MSU vs LSU game on Saturday night with Sandra and Wayne.  Kellie will be with her university friends at the game.  I will be low key but those of you who know me will know that I will be pulling for LSU.

2016 Travel Plans -  Costa Rica February 9-23 is definite and American Airlines flights are already booked.  I will be visiting my friend Charlie Doggett who moved to Costa Rica in December 2014.  He is already planning a few overnight side trips and I'm hoping to experience some of his normal daily life in his town, Atenas and nearby San Jose.

I am also well into planning a visit to Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, in Canada May 28-June 14, 2016 with several rail trips on Via Rail including the Via Rail Ocean overnight train from Montreal to Halifax.  Just this week I reserved and paid for my rail travels in Canada.  I will leave Canada from Montreal on Amtrak's Adirondack to visit Albany, NY, for a few days before traveling to Chicago on Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited.  I have not completed the "inside the USA" plans.
