Glacier National Park Trip Preview September 13-24
I depart in two weeks for my trip to Glacier Park Lodge in Glacier National Park. I will fly American Airlines on Friday, September 13, to Seattle, WA, for a three night stay. Seattle is one of my favorite West Coast cities and I have begun many of my rail trip adventures from Seattle. Monday afternoon, September 16, I will depart on Amtrak's Empire Builder for an overnight trip to East Glacier Park, MT.

I will arrive East Glacier Park Tuesday morning, September 17, for a three night stay at Glacier Park Lodge pictured at the top of this update. There are no televisions and limited WiFi so this will be a time of relaxation and exploring the national park.
Wednesday, September 18, I am scheduled for an all day tour of the park with Sun Tours which is operated by the Blackfeet Indians and approved by the National Park Service. I chose this tour service over the Red Bus open air tours since near the end of the park season the Red Bus tours are limited service and the Sun Tours are in more comfortable mini buses. Thursday, September 19, is totally unplanned and I may simply do a lot of relaxing and walking near and around the Lodge or possibly take a Red Bus shuttle to another part of the park for lunch and a little sightseeing.
Friday morning, September 20, I will board Amtrak's Empire Builder and travel from East Glacier Park, MT, to Chicago, IL arriving late afternoon or evening, Saturday, September 21. No big plans but will be in Chicago three nights before flying home to Nashville Tuesday, September 24, on Southwest Airlines.
I plan to do updates with photos from Seattle and from Glacier Park Lodge(depending on available WiFi) and Chicago instead of daily short updates. Thanks for traveling with me.

Reagan's Travel Plans for 2019
I have two more trips planned this calendar year. I'm sure I will do some traveling in 2020 but no definite plans for now. I have had a couple whopper home maintenance expenses so I have to take care of those expenses first.
October 14-23 - My 60th Minden, LA, High School Reunion October 19 - I will be returning to my native Louisiana home to attend my Minden High School 60th Reunion. Also, I will celebrate my 78th birthday while home October 17. All trip details are yet to be determined. Planning to stay with my niece Sandra while home in Louisiana.
December 1-7 Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort, Orlando, Florida - Reservations have been made for the Resort. Flights are reserved on Southwest Airlines. Purpose is to visit Disney World during the Christmas season.
